California
Compliant Rifles and the Prohibitions
The Second
Amendment Act is the right of every person living in the USA. They can exercise
to acquire a rifle to protect themselves, their loved ones, for hunting, target
practice as well as shooting games. Any semi-automatic assault rifle is
acceptable in California if it has a fixed magazine and a 20/30 round magazine
or it has a 10 round magazine but can be detached. On top of that, the assault rifle
should also not have any of the features like a pistol grip that is below the
stock, a grenade launcher, a forward pistol grip, a flash suppressor, an
overall length that is shorter than 30 inches and a thumbhole or folding stock
along with a detachable magazine. The California legal rifles
must have a fixed stock, a 10 round magazine and the muzzle brakes are
perforated in lieu of a flash suppressor.

New Rock River
Arms Modified Semi-Auto Rifles for California
In order to rule
the huge market of California, companies needed firearms that are acquiescent
with the strict and stringent laws of the state and RRA did just that. All the rifles
for sale in California have to meet with the firearms regulations. The
first requirement that these RRA rifles meet is the elimination of the pistol
grip that provides full control, grip and makes maneuvering of the firearm very
easy. Instead of the forbidden pistol grips, the California compliant rifles
have a Fin grip. Unlike the pistol grip that allows full grip, the fin grip
prevents the thumb from wrapping around the grip completely thus making it
compatible with the State laws.
The Fin grips are
basically for the 9mm rifles but for the .308 a more upgraded package is
available that has a Juggernaut maglock along with a standard grip and
adjustable stock. The 9mm carbine rifles are more suitable for competition
shootings while the .308 rifles are more long range and competitive as
well. The 9mm carbine rifles are available in both competition and
standard configurations. The standard rifles feature a 16 inch barrel, chrome
moly barrels with 1:10 twist, a forged upper and lower construction, billet aluminum
and two-staged triggers. The competition rifles are also lightweight aluminum
with a 15 inch extended length and an M-Lok handguard. Both these standard and
competition 9mm rifles are greatly attuned with Colt pattern magazines and
Glock magazines.
The 3 other
rifles are the models of .308, which are great for long range as well as
competition shooting. These models come with 18 inch to 20 inch stainless steel
barrels with the same twist of 1:10. The upper and lower parts of these rifles
are also built of billed aluminum, which gives it the strength and durability
we all want in our firearms. The three models have varied barrels like the BT-3
model has a 18 inch mid fluted barrel, the 18 inch Precision model has 18 inch
fluted barrel and the 20 inch Precision model has a 20 inch fluted heavy cryo
treated barrel. All the models are M-Lok friendly, have a 17 inch extended
length and are ergonomic. All the RRA rifles come with a hard case and good
news of more models adding to the list!
